Digital Communications Officer

What do you do at Become? My role is all things digital, from the Become website to social media to digitising processes. My goal is to promote the brilliant work Become does in the best way possible, so that more care experienced young people know about our services, and more people want to get involved with Become. 

Can you say a bit about your past experience and qualifications? My background is in digital marketing and communications. After graduating from university in Leeds, I went on to work at Eventbrite, and then on to Coram working on their Voices campaign, helping to amplify the voices of young people in care and care leavers. Following this, I worked in digital marketing at a tech startup, before joining Become.

What do you like about working at Become? The team is fantastic and works hard together towards a common goal. Become puts care-experienced voices at the heart of everything it does, and that is so important.

What drives you? Empathy, understanding and making a positive change.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Reading, listening to (and writing about) music, running and a lengthy scroll through Twitter.
