Henrietta Imoreh (She/Her)

Participation Officer

What do you do at Become? I work directly with and support care-experienced young people to ensure their views and experiences shape Become’s policy and campaigning activity, delivering innovative, meaningful, and co-produced participation work which creates real change.

Can you say a bit about your experience and qualifications? I am an applied theatre practitioner with a lifetime’s history of being engaged with policies that tackle the over-representation of looked after children in the criminal justice system. My focus has been developing programs for care experienced young people in care. I am passionate about social change and using my creativity to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. I am an ambassador for my local authority and an advocate for the care-experienced community. I use my care experience to inspire and empower innovative strategic change. I am currently a trustee of Agenda: women at risk of social exclusion, and Battersea Arts Centre.

What do you like about working at Become? I love that as an organisation there is a shared drive and passion for the care-experienced community.

What drives you? Seeing care-experienced young people unleash their potential.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? I enjoy hosting/entertaining children’s parties all across London.
