Will Robinson (He/Him)

Fundraising Manager

What do you do at Become? I work with our fundraisers, community groups and individual donors who are committed to supporting children in care and young care leavers. Whether donating directly or volunteering their time to take on a fundraising activity, Become cannot exist without their goodness and generosity and it is incredibly motivating to support every individual and group to maximise their impact.

Can you say a bit about your past experience and qualifications? Following university in Newcastle, I worked for a local health & education charity in Hull focusing on Corporate fundraising events. More recently I have worked in Community fundraising for a young people’s mental health charity and following that Events fundraising for an older person and social isolation organisation.

What do you like about working at Become? The values that drive Become shine through and speak to me as an individual.

What drives you? Kindness, empowerment and social justice.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Reading a fantasy novel is the best escapism, however I try and read as much non-fiction. I also love playing football, going to the cinema and daydreaming about when I can get a dog.
