Bitesize Course: An Introduction to the Rights and Entitlements of Care Experienced Young People Bitesize Course
  • Do you support a child in care or care leaver?
  • Are you aware of key legislation and the legal framework around their eligibility for support?
  • Do you understand the difference between statutory and local entitlements?
  • Do you have knowledge of the routes to take to ensure care experienced young people can access their entitlements?

This bitesize training session highlights information on key legislation and the legal framework relating to care experienced young people, the difference between statutory and local offers and the routes available to challenge when things don’t go well. By the end of the session participants will be equipped to understand eligibility and entitlements in order to knowledgeably advise young people on their rights and to support them to access what they are entitled to.
