Workshops for Young People
Staff from Become’s Care Advice Line are delivering online workshops to care experienced young people about their rights and entitlements.
The workshops are for care leavers, and young people in care who will be leaving care in the near future, aged between 16-25.
The workshop will be an introduction to rights and entitlements for care leavers. It will cover:
- How does your care status effect what you’re entitled to?
- What is a pathway plan and why does it matter?
- Care leavers’ rights and entitlements in relation to housing, education and finances
- What to do if you’re not getting what you’re entitled to
The workshops will take place via Zoom, every other Wednesday afternoon between 4-5.30pm, beginning Wednesday 24th February 2021.
The workshop lasts one hour.
If the below dates are not suitable, please get in touch as we may be able to arrange a time and date more suitable for your young people.
If you’re a professional and would like to book a workshop for a group of young people, please fill out the booking request form on this page.
We will deliver to one organisation per workshop. If that date has already been booked, we will let you know as soon as possible, and see if there is another date available.
We ask for a minimum of four young people to attend the workshop and a maximum of 10 per group.
We ask that a member of staff from your organisation attends the workshop with the young people too.
