Call out for submissions from care-experienced people
Are you a care-experienced professional who overcame barriers in your career?
As part of our Propel Into Work offer for care-experienced young people, we want to collect inspiring stories from care-experienced professionals who want to provide insights into their career or specialism, or share how they overcame certain barriers to progression.
We are looking for care-experienced professionals from different sectors to share self-recorded videos, written pieces or blogs about their personal career journey. These could include sector-specific top tips or could simply provide success stories to help motivate and inspire other care-experienced young people towards their own career goals.
We’re particularly keen to hear from professionals in industries where care-experienced people are under-represented e.g. media, film and STEM careers. We appreciate that some people might want to contribute, but don’t feel comfortable sharing their identity, which is why we are happy to receive submissions in whatever format you feel comfortable with. We don’t need to share your name, although it would help to bring the pieces to life, by including a first name.
Download the brief for more information and fill out the form below, if you’d like to submit something. After you fill in the form, the Propel Into Work team will email you with instructions for how to submit. We will be continually adding to our career inspiration page, so there is no deadline for this opportunity. If you have any queries or would like support making a submission, please email [email protected]
