Support for young people 

Get 1-2-1 support with applying for further and higher education, advice on funding and accommodation and answers to frequently asked questions.

Whether you’re still in care, a care leaver or have spent time living away from your parents, Propel can help. 

We offer a range of support, including 1-2-1 advice, workshops to help you navigate higher education and expert advice from professional volunteers. Need an answer to a quick question? Check our frequently asked questions. 

 

Advice for care-experienced young people 

Becca, our dedicated Advice and Support Officer for Further Education and Higher Education at Become provides 1-2-1 support to help you reach your education goals. Book some time with Becca by filling in our 1-2-1 support form.

Help with getting ready for university 

Our ‘Uni Ready’ Programme is designed to propel you on your journey to higher education. Through six 1:1 sessions we will: support you throughout the process, cover the  application, applying for Student Finance, help accessing support for  students at university & more.

Workshops supporting young people’s journey to university 

We offer workshops for young people on your rights and entitlements, applying to higher education and funding for higher education, such as ‘Navigating Higher Education: A Guide for Care-Experienced Students‘.

You can use sites like UCAS and Unistats to gather more general information about higher education courses, entry requirements and how to apply.  

And don’t forget to share your plans with your teachers, personal advisers and carers. They know you well and can offer advice and guidance on your options.
