Want to help improve the care system for other young people?

At Become our policy and campaigning work is informed by what young people tell us and we are committed to ensuring young people with experience of care are heard by people who make decisions about their lives and the care system.

We are therefore pleased to announce that we are recruiting eight care-experienced young people aged 16 to 23 to form our new Policy Advisory Group. Members will support Become in our work consulting with children in care and young people, represent the needs and views of their peers and be on call to provide rapid responses to consultation questions when time pressure prevents wider consultation.

Group members will gain access to skills and knowledge development and will also meet and work alongside other people with experience of care, as well as professionals from Become and other organisations.
