Become’s submission to the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care: call for evidence.

Become’s submission to the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care: call for evidence, highlighting messages from previous review work and key evidence gaps, including:

  • lack of data on adults who have experienced care as children;
  • longer-term impact of recent trends in care (i.e. growing use of semi-independent and independent and out-of-area placements);
  • impact of poverty and deprivation on child welfare intervention;
  • sibling separation and contact;
  • intersectionality;
  • rights and entitlements;
  • education; and
  • immigration.

    So glad that there is a bit more awareness now I still believe mistakes will happen sadly I know I was part of the care system but I really don’t think nobody really understands the damage that’s been done from the past and will probably still continue
