What inspires you? If you have an idea, we want to help.
From running a marathon, to skydiving, to taking on the Three Peaks, the possibilities of ways to fundraise by challenging yourself are endless.
Whether you want to run, walk, swim, cycle or climb, we’ll support you to make the most out of your fundraising.
Host a dinner party
Invite friends over for dinner and raise money for Become by getting everyone to donate £10 to attend. You could make it a monthly affair – at a different person’s house every time – the total will soon add up. So take those dinner orders, and get the date in everyone’s diary!
Ask your local club, church or community group to join you in hosting a fundraiser. Balloon and rubber duck races are fun for all ages, or encourage people to get their trainers on and move in an old fashion egg and spoon race.
Pick a sporting event – it could be the Rugby World Cup, Wimbledon or the Euros – and ask your friends, family and colleagues to pay a couple of pounds to pick a team from a hat. The person who picks out the winning team gets half, the other half gets donated to Become, and your colleagues who couldn’t usually care less about your beloved sport, temporarily become very interested!
Clear Out Sale
Have a spring clean and sell unwanted CDs, books, clothes and kitchen gadgets! You could put your unwanted items on eBay or Depop, or head to a car boot or garage sale. Ask friends and family members to donate unwanted or pre-loved items and clutter as well, and you have yourself a fundraising event!
Get friends and family to help you bake cakes – then invite the whole neighbourhood over and charge them for a slice!
This works really well at work too! For example everyone, on an agreed day, could bring in something for the rest of the building. Put up a few posters and watch people flood through your doors, just as the 3pm slump starts to kick in.
For extra excitement, turn it into a competition for ‘best overall bake’, ‘best decoration’ and ‘best taste’. Provide rosettes for the winners and, once it’s over, you can donate your profits to Become.
