On Saturday 24 February, we hosted a celebratory event called Voice Day.
The day aimed to amplify all the amazing projects and campaigns that care-experienced young people have been part of in 2023, through our Become the Movement network.. It was such a fun-filled day with time to reflect on how impactful 2023 was, shine a light on all the opportunities care-experienced young people have been part of and time to get to know each other in person. In total, 18 young people joined us for the day in London.
- Simone from our Policy team shared all the amazing meetings with key policy makers
- Suzy from our Media team shared all the inspiring care-experienced young people in the news
- Katy from our Training team talked about Young Trainers
- Will from our Participation team explored young people’s interview panels
- Rasheeda from our Services team highlighted the Care Advice Line and people using their voice to influence their own lives
- Jo and Henri talked about participation and campaigns
Towards the end of the event we immersed ourselves into a creative session where we created a banner together as a community of change.
Thank you to everyone who came to made Voice Day! Look through the photos below and if you are a care-experienced young person (up to age 27) & interested in events, policy, training, media or other opportunities, sign up to Become the Movement.
