Become in the media: speaking about the Care Review

On Monday 23 May 2022, as the final report of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care launched and shared across the country, we spoke up in the media to raise public awareness of this important moment and highlight our initial response to the recommendations.
In the morning, we supported a young care leaver, Zara Clench, to speak live on BBC News with Joanna Gosling.
Our Chief Executive, Katharine Sacks-Jones, also joined Joanna later in the programme.
Zara also wrote an opinion piece for the Independent outlining her thoughts on the Review, while Katharine featured in the New Statesman’s article about the Review’s credentials and spoke to BBC 5Live in a brilliant interview (around the 8-minute mark).
We’ll continue to amplify and represent care-experienced young people as we push hard for reform that is long-term, sustainable, and in the best interests of young people.
