Resources for LGBTQ+ young people in care
At Become, we exist for all young people in the care system; for all sexualities and gender identities. We’re here to help.
We're here for you.
We are a proud member of the LGBTQ+ Youth In Care Network, a group of LGBTQ+ care leavers, local authorities, care organisations, charities and more who meet on a quarterly basis to try and build a better care system for LGBTQ+ people.
What’s more, we want to ensure LGBTQ+ young people in care feel safe, supported, understood, and seen. Inclusivity is incredibly important, but we also want to ensure that we are equipping LGBTQ+ young people with the best possible knowledge and networks they can access.
That’s why we have collated a list of resources, from helplines to videos to FAQS, for LGBTQ+ young people. This page exists for young people in care with questions around sex, gender, gender identity, trans rights and LGBTQ+ issues.
Remember, if you are in care or a care leaver and you need help right now, you can call our Care Advice Line for free on 0800 023 2033. Open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 5pm.
