Employment Workplace Support for Care Leavers

Training for organisations and workplaces wanting to support care-experienced young people

What’s it about?

Employing care leavers benefits both the care leavers themselves and the workplace that supports them. This 3-hour training helps participants to understand the experiences of children in care and care leavers and to consider how this may impact their working life. The course also explores what employers can put in place to onboard care leavers, support them within the workplace and prepare them for their future roles.

Course participants will learn about:

  • The lived experience of children in care and care leavers.
  • The impact of trauma on care experienced young people and how that might outwork in the workplace.
