What’s it about?

Employing care leavers benefits both the care leavers themselves and the workplace that supports them. This bitesize training raises awareness about the lived experience of children in care and care leavers and explores some ideas of what employers can put in place to support them.  

Course participants will learn about:

  • The lived experience of children in care and care leavers.  
  • The impact of trauma on care-experienced young people and how that might outwork in the workplace. 
  • How to provide support to care leavers in the workplace using trauma informed principles.
