Reflecting with our Young Trainers

On 22 June we hosted an event for our Young Trainers in Luton where we reflected on the Young Trainers’ Programme to date and explored possibilities for the next cohort.
In addition, we consulted with our Young Trainers on who they would like our target audience to be and what overarching messages they would like to be included in future training.
Naturally, we also spent time socialising and enjoying each other’s company – it was a brilliant day and a wonderful time together.
A couple of our Young Trainers had positive things to say about the programme:
“My experience with Become’s Young Trainer Programme has been exciting, educational, and so impactful. I have had the opportunity to meet new people and share my own personal experiences with other PAs and Young People. It is so beneficial being able to advocate for our own voices but also for other care-experienced people. I think what Become Charity is doing is SO beneficial.”
– Humerah, Young Trainer
“Today is the first time I have delivered training in person. Although the nerves kicked in and fear of vulnerability has been apparent, I did it and feel more proud of myself. Don’t stop dancing, believe you can do it!”
– Matt, Young Trainer
