About the Inquiry

The Education Select Committee is a group of MPs from different political parties that meet regularly to make sure the Department for Education is doing a good job. The Department for Education is responsible for making sure the children’s social care system works well.

Last week, the Education Select Committee said it would run an inquiry (an investigation) to look at the planned changes to the care system, to understand whether they’re good enough.

We want to make sure that the views and experiences of care-experienced children and young people are at the heart of this inquiry. We don’t have long to provide evidence to the Committee, so we have made this short survey for you to share your thoughts with us. We will use your answers to give evidence to the committee.
