Twisted Seed

Written & recited by Leanne

A twisted seed in crumbled soil
Stale air in the sulking breath of turmoil
Jet black tar thoughts
Uprooted, aggravated
Laced with indigestible solid food of heavy doubt
Consumed lonely rage,
In absence of fulfilment
Resentment replaces misused resilience
Synchronised sighs stamp it’s jilted signature into the oblivious atmosphere
Overburdened on the slippery hinge of hope
Cold hugs wrapped under closed strained eyelids
Decorated in confusion
Slip under the sticky grip of existence
Serenaded by insincere silences
Tiptoeing onto the numbness of fragile hostility
Exposed like a ripped and bloody fingernail
